In November 2025, Amir Norov, a student at the UWED Academic Lyceum, distinguished himself by representing Uzbekistan at the prestigious World Scholar's Cup international academic competition, the finals of which traditionally take place at Yale University (USA).

The finals bring together students from over 65 countries participating in the largest global educational program aimed at developing critical thinking, teamwork, and academic skills.

Amir successfully competed in all key events of the tournament—debate, Scholar's Challenge, team essay, and Scholar's Bowl—and won one gold and three silver medals in the finals, demonstrating a high level of preparation and broad outlook.

As part of the cultural program, the participants presented Uzbekistan, presenting brochures "10 Reasons to Visit Uzbekistan" and "12 Reasons to Visit Uzbekistan" to tournament guests, sharing the country's rich cultural heritage and history.

In addition to participating in the competition, Amir visited leading US universities—Harvard University and MIT—which became an important part of his educational and professional growth.

This victory is a shining example of the academic potential of Uzbek youth and their commitment to international cooperation, leadership, and development.

The staff of the UWED Academic Lyceum congratulates Amir Norov on this outstanding result and wishes him continued academic success and new international achievements.
