On March 14, 2025, the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a roundtable discussion for its female students on the topic of "Women's Health: The Foundation of a Strong Society."
The special guest speaker was Professor E'tibor Sultanova, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and Chairwoman of the University's Women's Council.
During her presentation, Professor Sultanova provided the students with comprehensive information on the ongoing efforts in our country to strengthen women's health, reduce the risk of various diseases, and promote healthy families.
The students actively participated in the event, showcasing presentations on "Women's Health" and highlighting women who have made significant contributions to the field of medicine. Notable figures discussed included Florence Nightingale, a pioneer of modern nursing; Marie Curie, who discovered radiotherapy; and Sarah Gilbert, who played a key role in developing the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.
Dilshoda Juraboyeva, a third-year student in the "International Economic Relations and Management" faculty and leader of the University's "Leader Girls Club," also gave a presentation outlining the goals and mission of the club.
The roundtable discussion was held in a warm and informative atmosphere, contributing to an increased awareness of women's rights, opportunities, and the role of women in science and medicine.
