On May 16, 2025, in order to widely celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahmudkhodja Behbudiy, the founder of the Turkestan Jadid movement, public figure, publisher, and pedagogue, a cultural and educational event dedicated to the memory of our famous compatriot was held at the UWED Academic Lyceum.

A number of public figures and scholars who participated in the event provided students with comprehensive information about M. Behbudiy's life and work, his contribution to the development of the national liberation movement, and his activities to raise the consciousness and thinking of our people by mastering the world's advanced achievements. The main emphasis was placed on widely promoting the teachings of our famous compatriot in the education of the builders of New Uzbekistan today, and genuine patriotic people.

At the end of the meeting, the play and stage performances dedicated to the activities of representatives of the Jadid movement were presented by the Academic Lyceum students.
