“Corruption is the Enemy of Development” — A Special Session of the Youth Press Club Held
On November 24, 2025, a special session of the Youth Press Club dedicated to the topic “Corruption is the Enemy of Development” was held at the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The main goal of the event was to form an uncompromising attitude against corruption in the minds of young people, improve legal culture, and promote the principles of honesty.
The session was attended by the leadership of the lyceum, professors, teachers, legal specialists, journalists, as well as active students and young people. During the event, detailed information was provided about the negative impact of corruption on the development of society, the harm it causes to public administration and economic development, as well as the importance of the active position of young people in preventing it.
Students made presentations on the role of current legislation, public oversight, and the principles of openness in the fight against corruption. Young people had the opportunity to express their opinions, suggestions, and questions. The conversations, which took the form of a press club, created a platform for open dialogue and exchange of views among young people.
At the end of the event, recommendations were given on applying the principles of honesty and justice in everyday life and demonstrating an active civic position against any form of corruption. It was also noted that the lyceum will continue to hold various projects and educational meetings within the framework of the “School of Honesty” initiative.
This session was one of the important steps in forming a culture of combating corruption among young people.
